Blank Space Designs is a Los Gatos, California based, award winning interior design firm run by the incredibly talented Sandra Blank. Offering timeless design that brings together the full potential of the spaces she designs, Sandra offers her clients a comprehensive approach that provides their space with a breath of fresh air so they feel inspired and live better.
The only problem was that her website didn’t reflect this at all. Nor did it reflect her incredible design talent or expertise.
When I first chatted with Sandra about her project, she said her website came across as clunky and felt stagnant and dated. Sandra had DIY-ed her site so it didn’t represent her or her business, it wasn’t easy for visitors to find the information they needed and Sandra found it frustrating and time consuming trying to update the information.
She also felt it didn’t showcase her work in the best way possible. Sandra reached out to RDW Design Studio because she was ready to hire a professional who understood her industry, scrap what she had and start fresh.
As with all my custom design projects, Sandra’s project began with a strategy session. We discussed in depth what Sandra’s goals for her new website were along with her frustrations with her current website so we made sure not to repeat any of that in the new, sleek website design.
After gaining a clear understanding of her ideal client and other brand foundations along with her services and her process, we were able to move ahead with keyword research and copywriting.
Sandra decided on the projects she wanted to include along with the items she wanted in her shop the look page, which would be integrated with SideDoor. After the strategy and prep phase was complete, I was able to dive into the design and build of the new site.
Sandra now has a new, sleek website that feels like her and authentically represents her interior design business. It’s writen and designed to attract her ideal client, showcase her various services, feature her absolutely stunning design work, and guide the visitor to contact her.
The new, modern, clean design focuses on being user friendly. It conveys feelings of simplicity, sophistication, peace and inspiration all while reflecting Sandra’s love of being able to create the perfect design to fit her client’s lifestyle.
