Clover Designs is a leading interior design firm in Oakland County, Michigan. Courtney Markoff, the owner and lead designer, originally came to RDW Design Studio after listening to my podcast episode on Designed for the Creative Mind. She signed up for the gift I offered the listeners which was an Instant Website Upgrade. In the personalized video I created for Courtney, I gave her two tips that I thought would make the biggest difference with her current website. After watching the video, Courtney reached out to me about working together on a website redesign.
Courtney wasn’t happy with her current website. It wasn’t working for her growing firm nor was it an accurate representation of who they are and what they offer. It hadn’t been updated in over two years and certain functionalities weren’t working. It was also lacking in content, had poor user experience and no clear call to action. Finally, nothing had been done regarding SEO so this local business wasn’t showing up in organic search results.
Courtney’s project started with a strategy session with our teams. We discussed Clover’s visual brand, mission statement, ideal client, website architecture and customer journey. The tone check for the copy was written while Courtney and I conducted keyword research so the modern website design could be optimized for search engines. Once the copy was complete and I had the brand style guide, the custom design and development of the new website ensued.
Clover’s new, modern website is clean and light. It clearly communicates to the visitor who Clover is, how they work and what they offer. The modern website design has a clean layout that guides visitors to contact Clover to schedule a Discovery Call (the primary goal of the website). The integration with Honeybook for the contact form and lead magnet sign up form now work properly. The engaging, modern website makes use of simple animations so the website remains sophisticated and not busy. Clover’s beautiful design work is featured on all pages and their process is highlighted – a key component of how they work. Clover’s website is now a strategic marketing tool for this interior design firm.
