Based in Stamford, CT, Lauren Vallario Designs was established in 2013 and provides bathroom and kitchen design to clients located in New York and Connecticut. Lauren Vallario is the Founder and Principal Designer and she reached out to RDW Design Studio because it was time for a new website.
Lauren had listened my episode of A Well Designed Business podcast with LuAnn Nigara and she had also seen one of my Monday Makeover videos with Nancy Ganzekaufer so she knew she wanted to work together on a new, classic website design.
Lauren had a website built by a family member on Wix, but it wasn’t working for her. Her business was continuing to grow and her website didn’t represent her business or what it was like to work with her. Additionally, it didn’t work on mobile devices and wasn’t adding any efficiency to her business.
Lauren prides herself on understanding that the interior design process is a collaboration between the designer and her clients and she was impressed that we work in the same collaborative way with our clients.
We began Lauren’s project with the strategy and prep phase. Lauren wanted to keep her existing logo and her minimal color palette, but I recommended that we utilize different fonts for her classic website that would better represented her brand.
We spent time conducting keyword research together to come up with an SEO strategy that would help Lauren be found in organic search results. My copywriter began writing the words so that the copy sounded like Lauren and the messaging resonated with her target audience.
Since Lauren’s existing website was with Wix and she had her email and domain name through them, we had alot of work to do before we could launch her new website on WordPress, my platform of choice. We helped Lauren set up her email account directly with Google Workspace and recommended a new domain registrar for her to use and transferred her domain there.
Lauren’s new classic website now feels like her. It was written and designed to attract her ideal client, showcase her various services, feature her absolutely stunning design work, and guide potential clients to contact her. The back end of her website was built with technical SEO best practices so the site will be search engine friendly. And, we automated the booking process to take some administrative work off of Lauren and her team.
